HOMEMADE DINNER ROLLS
1 c. sugar
2 c. lukewarm water
1 t. salt
1 pkg. dry yeast
1/2 c. shortening
7 c. plain flour
Put sugar, shortening, salt, and yeast into warm water. Knead in flour. Cover and let rise until double in bulk. Knead and roll out. Make into rolls and place in greased pan. Let rise (approx. 2 hrs. each time) and bake at 450 degrees until done. (10-15 minutes). Can use from dough and refrigerate remainder. Keeps 7 days.
