BUTTER ROLLS

2 1/2 c. flour

3/4 c. milk vanilla

2 sticks butter

1 c. sugar

2/3 c. water

Work up flour, 1 stick butter, and milk into dough and roll out.  Smear 1 stick butter all over the dough.  Sprinkle sugar and vanilla over dough.  Roll up and cut into 1/2 inch pieces.  Put in glass oblong dish and sprinkle with sugar.   Add 2/3 c. water to dish.  Bake at 350 degrees until brown.  Serves 20-24.
